First Month at BYU-Idaho

Wow I've been at BYU-Idaho for one month now. It's crazy how fast time goes. I have had a lot of fun so far. Besides all the homework I really like it over here.

The first week of school it snowed, but it hasn't snowed again. Which is AWESOME!

I have a 6:30 am class every Monday and Wednesday, kinda of a struggle to get up. But I get to see all the buildings lit up.

While being out here Iv'e mastered my cooking skills. Still not the best but i'm getting there.

My roommates and I found a hill to go sledding on. But since it hasn't snowed much it was just ice. You don't even need a sled to go down the hill.

My roommate Kami makes the best cookies ever. We literally made them for a whole week.

Most weekends I spend it by doing homework. But my roommates and I decided to change it up and have Dinner and a movie night.

We had a long weekend because of Memorial day. So I took a day trip to Utah with Rebecca Reyes.

We went to Provo, Utah to visit friends at BYU. It was way fun seeing everyone.  We meet up with some friends for lunch.

Rebecca and I explored the BYU Bookstore, And we found a reading spot that had toys and of course we had to play with them.

I got the chance to see my Best friend, Shekinah. I spent pretty much all day with her.  It was way fun seeing her again.

So the main reason we went to Utah was to go to Catie Ellis wedding. She was a sister that serve in my ward.  She looked gorgeous and super happy. Congrats again!

Before we headed back to Rexburg we stopped by the Provo Temple. Super pretty!

My roommates missed me so much while I was gone. We had another movie night! with of course more of Kami's cookies.

We had Monday off because of Memorial day. It was awesome to sleep in. After we all got ready( most of us) we took roomie pictures.

The few couple of weeks were rough getting back to a schedule and doing school work. So I decided to go to the temple. And have a relaxing day.

It is pretty awesome to have most missionaries that served in my ward out here too. They have helped me so much. Thanks you guys!

My Sister and mom Sent me a Frozen poster and stickers. Thanks again!

Anyone feel free to send me things. ;)

It has been pretty sunny here in Rexburg that sometimes I don't need a jacket! It's AWESOME!

It has been a busy and stressful first month, but i'm grateful for everyone that has helped me and listened to me. You guys rock! I love BYU-I and i'm thankful that i'm able to be here.

Road Trip

On Christmas day my family and I left on a road trip to Utah, Las Vegas, Arizona and finally Idaho.
The reason why we went on a road trip was one to see our family in Arizona and two to drop me off at school in Idaho.

Before we headed to Arizona. We went to Utah so I could see the light in temple square in Salt Lake city. It has been a dream of mine to go see the light, so this was my Christmas present from my mom.

Once we got there we met up with Kyle Asay and his fiance. They took us to see the light in temple square.

I tried to get super creative when taking picture. I only had my iPhone and they turned out pretty good.

We took pictures with Kyle and Holly his fiance.

The next day we went to go see Tammy. That is Kyle's mom. She is pretty awesome if you do not know her!

For lunch Tammy took us to In and out burger. Awesome burger place!

That same day we headed to Arizona

We stopped in Las Vegas for the night. We left the early in the morning to continue 5 hours of driving to Phoenix Arizona.

The weather there was super nice. I wish I could of stayed there forever!

I was super excited to go to Target since there wasn't going to be one in Rexburg.

Loved being able to see my grandma and grandpa

While we were there we did a lot of shopping at an Outlet Mall.

New years Eve with the family!

At midnight Minnesota time I Facetimed Brian and his family to wish them a happy New year!

On New years day we had to say our goodbyes to our family it was super hard, since we do not see them very often.

Back on the road we headed....

We stopped again in Las Vegas for the night.

But this we got to go to Downtown Las Vegas know as the Strip. We got to see all the cool statues. We even got to see the Belagio Fountain show.

The hotel we went in was decorated for the holidays it was super cool!

The next morning we left to go to Utah.

We stopped in St George to see the temple. Super beautiful temple!

We stopped by to say hi to an elder who served in our ward a while back.

Then after we headed to Layton , Utah to visit Madi and JJ.

It was super fun to go visit them in their new house. And to see them again after seeing them in Minnesota.

JJ showing me his toy box.

We had to keep going to make it on time to Idaho. JJ had a rough time saying good bye.

After 2 hours we arrived to Idaho.

We stayed in Blackfoot, Idaho with a elder that served in our ward like 3 years ago. It was super fun to see him again.

In the morning we headed to Rexburg for move in day at school.

We meet up with some Elders and Sisters that served in our ward. It super awesome to have them here at school with me.

Thanks Alisha and Jordyn for letting us stay at your house! Can't wait to see you know that we live so close!

On Sunday night we headed back to Rexburg to drop me off at BYU-I

Saying good-bye to my mom and sister was hard. But I am so grateful to be here to study and one day become and Elementary teacher.
